I've decided this is going to be my rant page for when I'm bored or angry and occasionally I'll post art and ask for thoughts on it!
So Onward with Rant #1:
There's this really cool British TV show called Doctor Who. I've been completely obsessed with is since I first saw it about a year ago. Its about this Alien called The Doctor. He looks human but he has two hearts and has this way of cheating death called Regeneration, which is basically how they can find another actor. Oh, and he travels around in a blue police box called the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) which is a time machine.
It first started in 1963 and then went on for quite a few years, but eventually stopped in 1989. Then in 2005 Russel T. Davies and a couple other people who remembered it from when they were kids decided to restart it. Since then there have been 3 new doctors taking it up to 11. My personal favorite from the New Series is the current actor Matt Smith. He really makes the Doctor feel like the 900-1100 year old he is and how the character deals with being the last of his race.
Another component of the show is the Companions. The Doctor frequently travels with a human or three who go on his many adventures with him. Many of the female companions, at least in the New Series are unfortunately love interests, which occasionally detracts from the rest of the plot. BUT my favorite companions so far are Donna Noble, Amy Pond/Williams, Rory Pond/Williams, and River Song. The Ponds/Williams have two last names because the Doctor met Amy before she and Rory married and then after they were married called them the Ponds, even though they're technically the Williams since that's Rory's last name. ANYWAYS...these guys are my favorite because they don't always act like lovesick puppies like some of his companions and Rory and River are just BADASS.
I highly recommend it. BYES PEOPLES
